Message from the Principal

Greetings Stallion Community,

I am very excited to be joining the Steele community! I am a Tucson native and joined the TUSD family in middle school as a student at Booth Fickett.  I moved on to become a Palo Verde Titan and then a very proud student of the University of Arizona, Go WILDCATS!

I am  starting my 17th year as an educator in TUSD. I have had the opportunity to experience working with all grade levels, serving as a teacher, coach, student council adviser, guidance counselor, and learning support coordinator.  This year begins my 5th year as an administrator.

I am a proud mother of three little people, who keep me on my toes. I approach being an educator with the constant mindset of “would this be the service and education I would want for my babies.”

With that in mind, it is a priority for me as the leader of the Steele community to ensure that our students receive a first class education. I believe that it is necessary for our staff, families and community to work together to provide an educational experience that prepares our students academically, as well as, socially and emotionally to be lifelong learners who are prepared for a lifetime of opportunities and success.

I am committed to working with our community to build strong relationships between families and our school. I am excited to expand the opportunities our families have to be involved in their children’s educational experience.

I am eager to meet our families and to build a strong and trusting partnerships in educating our Steele Stallions.

Sincerely,

Jessica Harris
